My name is Wolla

BIG NEWS !!!

My immediate family has doubled in size and I have a flat mate.
I am the proud new daddy to a super cute kitten
We love each other so much !!
I have adopted Raja from FLAR - Foster Love Animal Rescue they were wonderful throughout the whole process.

His new name is Wolla - that name has special meaning to me.

This is just a short holding place until he has a better place to share his life with everyone

I have been thinking of getting a kitten for a while to have some cool company and someone to enjoy the time with. It was now the time. I asked the organiser of the Animal Rescue Organisation at the monthly Rondebosch Park Market for advice. The place she put me onto was sadly no longer doing fostering but I found FLAR - Foster Love Animal Rescue. I kept and eye on their web site for a kitten that appealed to me, and also when I felt it was the right time.

I saw 2 that were already adopted (sad for me, but good for them), but then I saw Raja who I arranged to go see. Visited him at his foster house in Rondebosch on Friday 16 May 2025, and fell in love immediately. I knew he was the kitty for me.

Then started the "long" wait for him to have his vet stuff done and mainly for him to be big enough to come live with me. I got the message on Wednesday 28 May 2025 that he would be ready to be collected from that Friday. So much excitement.

Why the name Wolla? (I'm sure people are thinking I come up with weird names like METACA22 & SIRHBA24 in the past). Well ... as I said that name has special meaning to me. It used to be the funny nickname I had for my Mom. Dunno where it came from and it isn't gender specific so it will be a loving name for him to have.

I am going to share some photos here (and in a better format in future) but for now here is an intro.
