Update on 31 August 2025 Part 2

This update was getting a little bit too long so I split it into 2 parts.

"Helping" Mike Work

Even though Wolla thinks he is the most important thing, my employer would disagree. Sometimes it has been hard to work and keep him occupied, but mostly he keeps him self amused or just sits next to me. During the winter I've often just moved over the the bed and worked there as was nice and warm on the blanket and he could keep nice and warm next to me.

Wolla loves to jump at me when he is sitting on my, ag sorry I meant his, chair. I put an old tracksuit (that was torn and planned to throw away) over the top over the pleather bit so it doesn't get more scratched, I should've done it sooner but didn't think about that option, I'm not phased, is fine - it's only a chair.

Well ... goes without saying that being a kitten Wolla loves to sleep. He generally sleeps on and off during the day between play time and when I'm not giving him attention. At night he sleeps kinda when I go to sleep he does wake up a few times, I tend to wake up then too and go to bathroom. He wakes me up at about 5:45ish each day, by standing on top of me. The odd time lately he hasn't slept with me and found himself another nice spot, dunno where as ... well I'm asleep, and if I get up and go look he hears me and meets me somewhere. Did make me all sad and worried when he didn't sleep with me initially.

He has the funniest of sleep poses as you will see from the next section of photos.

Food

Not really food but sometimes he thinks my plant is food

Wolla eats Hill's Science Plan Kitten Food (Chicken Flavour), he always has food down. He has water in 3 places in the flat, 2 in my room, one which is his fountain (which I showed in the previous update) and another one on the far bedside table. He drinks from all of them, depends on where he is when thirsty. He gets spoilt though (which is maybe bad of me, creating bad habits but I am a softie). Whenever I am having food he is there begging for food, I can just be washing up or cutting up veges or anything on the kitchen counter, and he wants. Eish eish eish. so ... he does get some extras, more just so I can eat in peace as well. At breakfast time he gets a teaspoon of (plain) yoghurt (cats are lactose intollerant so not ideal but it's only a tiny amount), then at lunch and at dinner he gets about 1/4 slice of chicken loaf (he didn't fancy ham).

I got him some treats for in-between times, I got him some Marlton's Meow Munchies but at one stage he had a bit of an upset stomach I so stopped giving him that (for now), maybe he had too many or wasn't settling well. I did some reading and looking around online and decided to make him some chicken treats. He loves them !!! Basically I take 150g chicken and 1 egg and mix it with a stick mixer thing (into a paste type consistency) and the put in a zip lock bag (which I use as a piping bag) and put onto a tray and then cook at 120C for about 40 minutes. I got the idea from this Instagram post. I rekon they are totally human consumable, but I'm not even going to try one, incase I like them and then I'll start to dip into Wolla's treats as my own. Ag shame - that wouldn't be fair.

I did put them on a dish for him but they kept sliding around when he was getting them so I resorted to just putting them directly on the carpet as then they don't slide around.
